The latest cruise ship destined for the BVI’s shores, is Vision of the Seas, a 78,000 ton ship which began its journey in Fort Lauderdale two days ago, making Tortola its first port of call.
Vision of the Seas joined the Royal Caribbean Cruises fleet in 1998.
At the moment, Vision of the Seas is on a 10-day Eastern Caribbean cruise and departs for St. Maarten tomorrow. She is to make five calls to the territory this year.
According to the Government Information Service, the ship brought 1,995 visitors to the territory for BVI VACATION and was officially welcomed by Minister for Communications and Works Honorable Mark Vanterpool. Also present were Government officials from the Premier´s Office, BVI Tourist Board and the BVI Ports Authority. Many of the visitors chose to stay in the wonderful
